OK. Journalism is the act or profession of covering current events.
You seem to be talking about journaling. Journaling is useful for a lot of guys. I don't do it myself, but people who do tend to say good things about it.
Give it a shot. Can't hurt. Just don't leave candid thoughts lying around for your parents and siblings to read.
