I'm in my forties but started losing hair about 3 years ago. I found a doctor that provides me a propecia plus rogaine liquid dropper that you put on your scalp each morning. Very little is needed, just a few drops, massage it in, the bottle lasts for months. It stopped the hair loss (follicles all over the shower walls and sink) and regrew lots of hair. Enough to where my haircut girl apologized for giving me a bad cut before because of all the 1 inch hairs on the top of my head. That was new hair, not her fault! I no longer have a hair loss issue, it's hanging tight.

Taking it topically limits the propecia side effects of taking a pill (I've had none) while getting all the hair growth benefits. This comes from a compounding pharmacy-these are pharmacies that mix products and change their form (like propecia liquid). Hope you check it out and good luck. Expect results in 1-2 months.

And yeah, hair is always better. But if you give up, then shave it, don't do the in between thing.

I started noticing that I was going bald at 19, years later family pictures proved it started around 16. At 19 my hair was my life, the thought of losing it scared the crap out of me and I wasted a LOT of money on minoxidil, finesteride and propecia.

It too me about five months to finally accept it and buzz it all off. You'll get a few snide remarks from friends and family until they notice you are not affected and that you are confidently rocking the look. It was far more liberating to accept it and live my life than to have the dread weighing me down for the rest of my life. You can choose to be a slave to products for the rest of your life, of just live your life free of it. Its your choice.

Long story short, going bald means lots of testosterone and high sex drive, stronger bones and bone structure, more natural lean muscle mass an strength. Believe me, I have done 9 years of research on male pattern baldness.

One thing I must implore you to do is to stay away from any products that prevent the natural process of MPB. The side effects are not worth it, in short, you will be sacrificing your masculinity for hair. Some products that promote blooflow to the scalp are ineffective. Products that block the enzyme (5-alpha) that transform T into DHT causes some men to lose their libido, sometimes permanently. DHT is single handedly responsible for masculinity. In some extreme cases guys literally grow tits and develop high pitched girly voices. Google it and see for yourself if you think I'm bullshitting.

Do you think Jason Statham or Dwayne Johnson waste their time with products to stave off the inevitable? It part of being a man, accept it and own it. Be bold and buzz it all off. Like a warrior.

Been taking it for several months, receding hairline came back pretty well. No side effects (when accounting for placebo, less than 1% chance of that happening, and not permanent). Give it a shot, if it works, great, if not, shave that shit, but the longer you wait to try the pill, the less chance you have of the hair coming back. GL

Shave your head.

Anti-balding medications can have nasty side effects. Shaving your head, not that many.

I went bald in my early 20s. It may affect SMV but it really didn't hinder me as much as you would think. Good face/body plus confidence will get you a long way. There is a small subset of women who 100% would avoid a bald dude but that subset is small.

Back in the day I did try Rogaine, it helped a bit but I noticed my erections weren't as firm/mighty so I just stopped using it. Not a major difference but enough that I didn't think it was worth it.

Two advantages actually is that when you go bald young, you don't associate baldness with aging and have a mid-life crisis about it. Another is that you will 'age' much better over time. Your look will be much more consistent over the years and you will seem more youthful to people in later years.

Do your best with what you have and work it, man.

I've heard some bad bad shit about Fonasterides, such as permanent sexual dysfunction (ED). It's not worth losing your dick over.

I don't want to hamster too much and say things like "girls think receding hairlines are hot" but the fact of the matter is, it is a bit true and a distinguishing feature. (Think Patrick Wilson, Jude Law, Ect)

There are lots of hairstyles that accommodate it, or you can always go the Jason Statham route, #1 all over and couple days facial hair growth

And in the meantime, start pinching pennies to afford Bosley hair transplants down the line (if you so choose)
