I'm kind of a loser to be honest. I don't have a lot going for me, I don't make very much money, but I managed to meet a great girl. She seems very dedicated, we've been seeing each other for the better part of a year, and we talk every day. She's studying engineering, and has a lot to offer. She was a virgin when we met and prides herself on the fact that I'm her first.

But I worry that our relationship is an inversion of traditionalism: when she finishes school, she's going to make a lot more money than I will, to the point where she will be the clear breadwinner of the household. I believe that she loves me, but I worry that it isn't a sustainable arrangement and she will end up leaving me. Are there exceptions to hypergamy, women who transcend common female nature?
