This is probably pretty basic, and yes I've been reading the side bar since 2017-- I just need some advice on txting etiquette.

I met this girl from some daygame pickup, got her number and I've been txting her. It's been weird, like she almost doesn't require game: whatever I ask, she complies. Teasing and gaming almost seems to annoy her, but when I'm direct, I always get what I want.

Long story short, on Sunday I asked her out for drinks on Friday. She said she'd like that and we're all set.

I've read that basic etiquette is not to txt her again until like the day before to confirm plans.

This just seems like a long time in which emotional investment/interest can slide.

Is this a hard and fast rule? Should I send a quick interesting text at some point before Friday to sustain the thread? Or is that a symptom of "I'm not enough" mentality?
