I been identifying my behaviors and adjusting them. I think I’ve become comfortable with step one in being able to approach and number close.

I’ve been approaching cold and amongst mixed company however I am now seeing a pattern emerge where I number close and text for logistics and get shot down immediately.

From this morning, one hit me with this paragraph.

Me: Come get drinks at Drinks & Co at 7:00pm on Friday.

Her: Honestly, I’m not interested. I’m not looking for anything right now anyway. I appreciate your offer to go out.

Me: Ok.

Clearly a shit test, but she stated it right off so I didn’t waste an effort. I deleted contact and moved to next.

My theory is that I am not escalating enough in my initial interaction and that initial attraction gets eliminated by the time I go for a first date.
