Tell a homie of yours prior to the date. “If I text you “keyword” then call me so I can bail on the date” make up some fake emergency.

I have one suggestion that I know you will ignore; ask yourself why do feel you have to spend money at coffee shops on first dates? Is it to compensate for something? Will most girls say no to you if you ask them to go straight to your place on the first date? Why is that?

I once told a guy that I’d rather be at home alone re-reading old magazines than continuing our date. He laughed and said he appreciated me not wasting his time. We became friends after that... the kind of blunt friends who can tell each other anything.
