I started the SLx5 program a month ago after the response to a previous asktrp thread.

physical stats:

Mid twenties 6'5 265 lbs 8.5 inch wrist. 30 bmi (standard)

The only modifications I made to the beginner routine was to add 50 lbs starting to all exercises except the overhead press, which I started with the bar. I went low on purpose to get the form right. Others have noticed my muscle gain already, which makes me want to keep going.

While SLx5 provides a good three month plan, I am stumped on what to do after. There is tons of information on the net, but most of it is misleading. I want to go as far as I can, and I am not certain how yet.

I have written out some goals, because in my experience having long term ambition is what keeps discipline. It is how I learned to eat clean and count calories.

My goals:

Short term: (One Year)

Two plates on all major exercises Join a CrossFit gym Learn how to perform a "clean jerk" movement. Reach 20% body fat.

Long term: (3-5 years) Three plates on all major exercises. Reach 10% bodyfat Earn a professional trainer certification in Canada. Begin competing in local lifting sport.

TRP, what programs are ideal for these goals? Are these reasonable goals for my age and condition? Advice for a beginner with ambition.
