Typically it's a shit test. She is basically saying "I'm attracted to you; don't make a move because I'm weak and don't trust myself."

At that point it's your choice - if you want to go for it anyways just disregard completely and continue on. If you're not into fucking chicks with boyfriends then let it go. Saves yourself time too.

If she is saying that her bf and the girl are going through a rough patch - or how they have been fighting more often or gotten more distant from each other => This is womanese for her telling you "Hey dummy, my relationship is about to end - if you want me - make a move now"

If she is just casually mentioning her bf and the things she does or whatever - she wants plausible deniability in case you make a move - it was your fault - she is innocent

I'd say you are misinterpreting the IOIs. She is probably just being nice to you.
