What does this woman mean?

When a woman tells you that "You're not listening to me!" what she means is, "You're not agreeing with me!"

Source: multiple older sisters, plus I've been shagging girls longer than most of you guys have been alive.

If you don't know, I assume it because you actually don't listen.

In what context is she saying this? Is it in response to not getting her way (i.e. she tells you she's rather you not go out with your friends on Tuesday and you go out with your friends on Tuesday) or is it your failure to retain information (she tells you she's allergic to seafood and you take her to Red Lobster for dinner)?

If it's the former, you're doing a poor job of asserting that you do indeed listen but you're making your own decisions regardless. If it's the latter, pay more attention to your surroundings and the conversations you carry on. Bumbling through life not knowing what's going in isn't an attractive quality.

in which, shes just looking for you to listen to her. thats all it means. you aren't listening. when a woman says stuff like this, it means, "hey somethings going on in my life and i want you to understand"... for a guy, that means, put down the ipad/phone/tv remote and give her your undivided attention... then ask her questions, let her talk/vent/whatever she needs to get off her chest. its called empathy. thats all she wants. repeat a little back of what she said, so she knows you are listening, this will make her feel like you understand...

you don't have to argue, disagree, agree, give your opinion, just fucking listen... this is a part of women that i feel many dudes fail, fuck up and simply dont understand.. they are EMOTIONAL. if you do this shit right (listening), by not trying to solve her problems, she will thank you and feel that you care for her. and you don't have to do a lot in the situation, just listen. you are to be her rock, her mountain. you don't have to be a dick and not listen to the girl, christ.

gotta love the RP rambos who think its beta to listen to woman vent. you know, thats what women do. they solve their problems by TALKING. have you ever seen a group of women talking to each other? no dude has any clue of what they are talking about, and they aren't solving each others problems like men do. ie, logically.

Always reply with either "what?" or "huh?" anytime she ever says that to you. Grab and/or slap her ass each time you say it.
