Don't know if this will help, but I had a profound, but simple moment of clarity a couple months ago in a crowded concert hall.

I was alone at a concert. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy doing things by myself, but that night I was feeling somewhat alone. I saw a bunch of happy couples enjoying date night at the concert and it reminded of my sad life, having just been dumped by my gf.

All of a sudden, it hit me. I looked at everyone in that hall. Thousands of people. Single, taken, married, widowed, whatever. I looked at all of them and realized...every single person here has been or will be heartbroken. It was a very profound thought that helped me realize I'm not alone.

Long story short, try to cheer up by knowing that everyone goes through heartbreak. The difference between those who are happy again and those who fall into depression is being able to recognize that sometimes shit happens, and that you can pull yourself up by your bootstraps.

Seriously dude, you need to chill out and stop hating yourself. It's all in your head.

I don't know how you'll fix this because it's slightly different for each person, but realise that you're the only one who sees yourself this way. Not only that, no one gives a shit about you. Now doesn't that feel like freedom?

You need to stop the sob story and mentally move on with your life.
