Negging is just literally finding something about the person; whether it's something they're wearing, the way they look, goofy teeth, a belief they have or a stupid opinion, literally anything about them you can tease them about and doing it.

Negging is usually best used on girls who ordinarily don't get negged, and are showered with praise and compliments instead (they're bored by this)- girls up their own ass, HB9s and HB10s. But negging works on anyone as long as you don't neg them to death.

I'd say it's more about invoking an emotional response, and then once they do, you have fun with them. It's not to be used maliciously.
