Long story short, my ex texted me after 2 whole years without any contact We dated for close to 3 years I'd say 2-3 months after the breakup, she started dating some dude claiming she's finally happy. Okay so about the text, she pretty much said "I'm sorry for being toxic in our relationship, i sometimes remember our time together and it makes me happy. I hope you know i never cheated on you and i hope you're doing well in life." I was completely shocked to the point i had a severe panic attack. Anyways, we started talking and turns out her life turned to shit right away. Her boyfriend, she claimed to be happy with, had been cheating on her the whole relationship and had been physically and mentally abusive towards her. She's still with him and they both moved in together. I asked her why she even texted me and she just gave me a really vague response saying that she just wanted to say sorry. Is this just a mindgame of hers? Is she genuinely sorry? I just dont know at this point.
