It's probably tempting for you to want to have some kind of answer, come-back, or witty retort for this, but this is such basic manipulation that it's offensive.

The best possible "response" to this is to completely ignore it. Act like she didn't say anything, never mention it, go about life as usual. If that's awkward or not possible, you could respond "k" or "okay", then continue life as usual.

The way to keep her from cheating is to invest less, not more. Never reward bad behavior with attention.

If anything, she's just making me lose respect for her and making me give less and less fucks for trying to force something so stupid because of how insecure she is. Ignore it is.

No, I had already started hitting the gym before we met.

The only drastic change recently has been that I've told her I can't text her at work any more because I got talked to about using the phone on the job and I've also gotten a second job. Basically she's not getting the time and attention she's used to.

Keep in mind she's a very insecure girl. It just feels very forced on her end and I feel like it's totally pointless.

She's reliving the validation and appreciation from someone else, and showing that she's got other men chasing her, AND she's trying to frame this as being loyal to you.

It's very very low level dread, but not really anything very much. A simple "good girl" should suffice.

But do consider how to show her you've got girls chasing you too. Be very very subtle about this. Ideally she should experience it first hand. Do not get caught manufacturing a situation.
