What’s the difference between being a gentleman and a simp.

The motivation and thinking of the man is what makes him a 'simp' or a 'gentleman'.

If you are acting a certain way to try to increase your odds of her liking you, like going out of your way to please her or pandering to her every Beck and call, then you are doing it wrong and therefore are a simp.

If you are doing 'nice' things, just as part of your routine or without much extra effort, you are acting more like a gentleman.

A good example is opening and holding a door open. If I'm already in front and need to open the door for myself, I'd gladly hold it a moment longer to allow her through. I would not ever rush forward to get the door open for her, or wait around for her to enter. If I'm already throwing something in the trash, I'd gladly grab an item or two from her, it's convenient. I would not get up and take her trash out without there being something else I'm doing along the way.

Why are you doing the action, is it to get a reaction out of her or is it just because it's a negligible amount of extra work for you. That's how I distinguish the two.

Your intentions. Personally a gentleman’s genuine. You hold that door open cause you genuinely want to. You’re talking to girl; because you’re genuinely interested.

You’re actions reflect your intentions. as to simps; I don’t think about them. Neither should you.

Gentleman operates in his frame and would do the same for both men and women. It is in his character. A gentleman also get results. Genuine.
