Before the RP I would NEVER leave a girl on read because I was always so afraid of them just forgetting about. Now, I don't really care if they do, if a girl wasn't pursuing me back then I wouldn't hesitate taking the L and move on. But the problem is, I'm afraid I'm leaving girls on seen too much, because I might be reading signs that strike me as disinterest while they don't mean anything.

For example, this just happened : There's a girl that I met some time ago, we didn't talk for a long time ( because she lives in another country ) but this year she came to where I live because she has school here. I asked her out then and the date went pretty good. iois all the time. But when we texted after that her texts were cold for some reason but idc so I stopped replying.

Anyway, 3 weeks passed by and I wanted to ask her out again so I texted her "hey" but she left me on seen and basically ghosted me.

3 days ago, after a couple months, she sent me an image of the place I first met her through common friends, so I got online again today and now she tells me that she's back in her country because of the virus. What am I supposed to do with that ? It's not like she's gonna come anytime soon lol

Usually I would leave her on seen without even thinking about it, but it would suck if it turns out that my approach isn't the correct one and I shouldn't take the L so soon. I made a post a while ago about being too much of an asshole or too much of a nice guy. This is basically the same, either never leaving a girl on seen, or doing that at the slightest hint if loss of interest or attention whoring.

How do I know when is a no reply the best kind of response I can give ?
