I'd say now is a good time. You are clearly getting your value from outside yourself. You are looking for someone to fill a gap in yourself, but that's not how things work.
Go monk mode, meditate (not any hippy shit if that's not something you like, just sitting with your eyes closed for 10 minutes a day helps). Really reflect on what you want out of life, then make a plan, break it up into small, achievable goals, and get started.

Up to you. I would have a nice farewell for each so if you want to pick them up again in the future then you haven't burned any bridges. Take them on a proper date, doing something you know they love (horror movie film fest, concert, night out dancing, fancy dinner, whatever) - make it a night to remember.
At the end just say something like:
"You had a good night tonight, didn't you? Good, I'm glad. <hold her hand, eye contact> I'm going to be straight with you now, I need to take some time for myself. I need to be completely alone to focus totally on some goals I've set for myself. I'll contact you when I'm ready and, depending on where we both are, pick things up where we left off. So this is goodbye, for now."

I find myself lonely, not fruitful, and almost hoping for an LTR.
I find myself almost in the same situation as you. My best plate is leaving town for at least two years. Before that I was starting contemplating entering in a LTR. I guess I had luck that she's leaving and the decision of LTR is out of the table.
I guess we can't by any chance stop improving our SMV! Even if we enter in a LTR. But in all honesty, I already had a very long LTR. It's very comfortable and enjoyable, but somehow we cease to improve.

This is typical in the fall. I would say, as you are pretty new to trp, try to keep applying and improving throughout the fall. Then around early January, hive up and go monk mode. This way you can enjoy time with girls when inside is required due to weather, and plus it will get you through holiday season. Isolation before the holidays are over can actually crush your game.
