When getting girls to go out on dates, there are 2 approaches I'll flip-flop between. Both have worked out pretty well for me (but I use option 2 more often) and I have learned about through TRP. However, I'm curious. What method do you guys prefer and why?
1) Directly text a girl "Let's meet at XYZ bar at 8pm on Thursday" and let her accept/decline/reschedule from there
or
2) Text the girl "When are you free?" or "What's your schedule like?". Only after she gives you her availability, then you text her "Let's meet at XYZ bar at [whatever day/time works with both your and her schedule]"
Here are my personal thoughts. You'll probably be able to tell that I'm more of an Option 2 type of guy.
Option 1 is more dominant/alpha but it also opens the door to rejection. If a girl has some interest but it's not crazy high yet, that day/time may really not work with her schedule and she won't reschedule (because her interest isn't super high). Also I recall there's some sales/psychology trick where the more times someone says "yes" or "no" then there's a higher likelihood of you getting the same response for each subsequent invites/questions/etc. So from that perspective, you want to avoid creating situations where the girl would have to say "no"
Option 2 is not as dominant/alpha but I also wouldn't consider that as anywhere near beta. It also allows for a greater chance for getting a "yes" from the girl because she can no longer use the excuse that she's busy then. If the girl is truly not interested at all, she'll find other way to reject the invite but I feel this should mostly help with girls who have some interest in you or are currently neutral towards you.
Thoughts?
