I was raised to be good-mannered and respectful. But I have noticed as I age that most people do not reciprocate. In fairness, some do, but the overwhelming majority do not. What reasons do you guys have for being considerate to people? It seems like going about my life in a manner where the only factor is "what makes things easy for me" is better?
