Teacher teaches about perceived injustice. Students jot down "progressive ideas" and grow up.

These grown ups recycle ideas to point where they are the norm.

People who don't agree are labelled bigots, racist, sexist. These labels are bad. People now shut up because too much effort to re-educate or challenge the norm. Also huge stigma for doing so.

Feedback chamber created.

Funding goes to advocates for change because it's better to be seen as "progressive" than to question.

Appearance is more important than it should be.

Eventually, a tipping point occurs where things change and reset to new norm.

Because pandering to ethnic and sexual groups is the easiest way to secure that sweet $$$$$. Most universities are overinflated, bureaucratic institutions with bloated administrations. They rely on students taking out massive amounts of money for degrees that, a majority of the times, teach little to no job skills. If faculty is able to sweep that under the rug by claiming that everyone is oppressed and victimized, then colleges will be getting guaranteed money though government loans/grants.

In terms of professors, you have to keep in mind most of them have spent their entire lives in academia. Kindergarten- Doctorate is about 21 years for the average person. In addition, most liberal arts and humanities professors go straight into teaching there after. Their entire lives were spent in the public school/ liberal, college, academic circles, so leftist influence is a pre deposition for them. In addition, like I stated above, if students don't sign up then it will be harder to pay for the tenured professors 6 figure salaries.

Many lefties infiltrated the universities in the 1960s when Vietnam was raging and college deferments provided a way out. They promoted their own and wormed their way up the food chain. But make no mistake...the movement was accelerated by a bunch of cowards who didn’t want to get drafted.
