Why do women get hooked on possessive, extremely jealous men?

From my observation, this only happens when the guy is good looking and has other options.

I have a friend that is tall, good looking, and has no problem getting pretty girls. But he is possessive and extremely jealous. He and his gf always get into fights. She has even told me and other people that he physically hits her. He gets jealous even if she looks at the waiter.

However she refuses to leave him, saying how she really loves him.

This would never happen if the guy had low SMV. She would've left him already.

Usually they put up with that because they are already emotionally attached and have no better options lined up. Bad thing is that most of these women are usually good LTR candidates.

The forner is the possessive and choleric guy who will try to keep his women in check with force, trying to control them and their behaviour.

The latter is the laid back guy who knows that it's not worth the fuzz because there is always better options out there and that you cannot control people.

Plates, when they leave you for commitment, will oftentimes fall back to either a complete beta or an alpha 1.0., because they think they want a guy who cares that much.
