I've read https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/5u0i0y/slacking_in_one_area_of_your_life_will_snowball/ and thought a little bit about the possible benefits of routine.

What I came up with is this.

Repeating a routine daily makes tasks predictable -> allows to concentrate fully on new stuff. -> allows to improve efficiency in the routine -> allows to improve outcome based on prior experience in the routine

Putting something in a routine -> makes improving the skill, tasks, effort seamlessly cause it's not necessary to ask everytime it comes up the why, since incase it's on your routine it has presumably been important at the last routine review. And can be changed at the next review. -> makes regular improvement decisions possible. I see here dropping activicies and taking some up as examples.

Thinking about it I'm asking myself, how does anyone make it without routine? How to master anything without it?

Any books to recommend on this topic?
