Your mission

a mission is different than a goal. it might help if you think of it at a different scale. look up the mission statement of the FBI, or some other organization you resonate with.

Your mission is to help you set a priority for when you need to make decisions. IE: if your mission is self improvement then your decisions should always be centered around 'which of these things improves me the most.' if you realize that none of the decisions align with that goal, then you are better off spending time doing something else.

So your mission isn't something that's really accomplish-able. asking if it's long term or short term is irrelevant in this case. Your mission can, and likely will, change as you grow and learn, but this isn't the same as long/short term goals. it's a guideline for making future and current decisions. It can be as concrete as you want it to be.

You can, and likely will, have multiple goals in flight at once. you have many aspects of your life you can work on, and you should have goals in every facet. What are your career goals? what are your relationship/plating goals? what are your personal/life goals? what's the best way to achieve these goals while staying aligned to your mission?

Your mission can simply be self improvement.

Therefore, within the realms of your mission are: Fitness, career, hobbies, wealth, social etc.
