Hi Seddit,

I'm a 19 year old student who had until recently been in a long term relationship for almost 3 years, this security has meant i feel like I've missed the growing pains and the experience of talking to random girls in clubs and around College,

recently I have had some nagging thoughts of being socially inept and thinking to my self "I'm boring", "I'm just not a good conversationalist" beyond the hey, wuu2, how you doing, hows work/college going and generally asking questions my pool of conversational topics is a little shallow.

I'm also a fair bit introverted and while I am awesome at developing presentations and technical information, I find public speaking and presenting that information really daunting and tend to freeze and get very anxious even just giving an introduction.

I also suck at being in crowds I tend to just chat for a second with one person then sit back, chat with another person, then sit back, and not really have a presence in a group, especially strangers when everyones getting to know each other at the start of the college year etc.

advice on getting started with things would be appreciated,

also the idea of going to a club on my own or with just another guy seems mental and indeed I have done this and our beta-ness (for lack of a better word) meant we just ended up drinking and not really talking to anyone. which sucked ass.
