I'm not really asking for advice with this post. I already know the advice everyone would give. Just do it. Don't hesitate. Remember you have nothing to lose. If you have any advice beyond that I would love to hear it.

I was studying at my university's library Sunday evening when I decided I'd like to check out a DVD before I left. As I waited in line at the desk I noticed the desk worker was quite attractive and had a sort of soft-spoken cuteness to her. We chatted briefly about the movie I was checking out before I turned around and left. As I walked away, 100 smooth things I could have said crossed my mind.

I really have no excuse to not go for opportunities like this one. There was nobody in line behind me and she probably had nothing more to do once I left than twiddle her thumbs. I'll be crossing my fingers that she's working when I return the movie, but realistically I won't get a second chance here.

I guess I'm just posting to more formally admit that I have a lot of work to do on myself. I am still acting like with patience and faith life will throw me a dream girl, and while it's not impossible, I'm doing nothing to help my odds right now.
