High school? College? Adult? Venue?
[–]Mystery_Box_ 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Right. Of course. Sorry.
Venue hasn’t been picked but probably an Applebee’s or something of that setting.
College/adult

Other people will have different advice, but my main points are as follows: 1. Make sure your clothes fit. Always go slightly tighter than slightly looser, especially if you are skinny/in shape 2. Do not smell bad 3. Be groomed. Don’t have a 4 week old untamed neck beard. If beards are your thing, then keep the beard. If not, short stubble or clean shaven.
That’s about it. Don’t overthink it

3) I’m a girl so I don’t have a beard but I’ll shave anyways lol

Haha... most people are guys on this sub... well then, one other point then on what I prefer. Don’t do anything crazy with your hair. Either natural, straightened or ponytail
[–]Mystery_Box_ 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I was thinking about straightening because I have very curly hair and i don’t think it looks good but I also want him to see the real me

Light makeup. Most guys will admit they like the enhancement light eye makeup provides, but hate foundation.
Talk about your interests. Understand that this guy is probably nervous too and would like for you to contribute conversation topics.
I find that jeans/shorts and a cute top looks fine on a girl on the first date, as long as it fits well, like the other poster said. Anything fancier is out of context.
Just have a good time. Joke. Laugh. Relate. If those things don’t happen somewhat naturally then it wasn’t meant to be anyway.

Don’t wear anything too skimpy. Go for 2/5 skin to clothes. Yes, your arms, legs and face count.
Listen to some high energy music while you are waiting around for the date to start.
Turn off your phone during the date... only bust it out if you are trying to signal discomfort or boredom.
I’m going to get a lot of flack for this one from the less secure guys on the sub:
Shit test! You need to keep qualifying him. If he is jumping through all of your hoops like a good little puppy then you should know to next him if you’ve read much of this sub. If he storms off or can’t handle your tests then how confident is he going to be in bed or when there is a disagreement.
It’s a first date so don’t over invest emotionally. Even if you are crushing bad you need to not put blinders on to his red flags. Chances are he will be going out of his way to be on his best behavior so that’s when you need to look him over with a fine toothed comb.
Lastly:
If he is a genuinely good guy but just lacks experience.... don’t hold it against him. Help him out to figure out his true personality and weather or not you want to work with that.
If he has lots of experience but is still floundering your tests get the fuck out of there.
And... just for his sake and all of ours, and your sanity; be direct. Don’t lead him along with texts or tell him you’ll message him later if you don’t have any intention of seeing him again. Don’t friendzone him. Just drop him. Let’s be friends may seem like a decent consolation prize but chances are he will only take that as “Oh shit I still got a chance!”
[–]Mystery_Box_ 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That’s fair. But what “tests?”
[–]DriedUpPlum 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Google tests women play on men or search this sub for the countless complaining posts from men that have failed them :P.
You’ll get some blowback on here for wanting to do this but it’s a vital component of filtering out bad partners.

I’m 21 so we’re about the same age I think. Me and most of my friends like when girls wear lip gloss over lipstick. Makeup is fine but don’t cake your face. Wear anything you want as long as its casual. Nothing skimpy like the previous guy said. Don’t be nervous just focus on having a good time.

What color lipstick looks best to you? Red or nude?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nude imo is the next best thing after lip gloss. Lip gloss>Nude>Any other lipstick.
