So I go to a rather large sized university on the west coast and I met this girl last weekend at a bar and ended up hooking up with her and spending the night at her place (no sex). But we made out and talked for a few hours and I thought we made a deeper connection than your typical bar hook up. So, light texting ensues, I limit it for the most part to setting up a day for a date. We go out on a date mid week. It goes very well and we kissed at the end. After the kiss I brought up going out again. At this she jumped to the whole "I've been in relationships since sophomore year of high school (we're sophomores in college) and I just don't want that again. I responded by saying something along the lines of well I'm charming, smart, funny etc.. So you better keep your distance. (Alpha right?! I was so proud lol) She initiates texting and we talk a little bit over the next two days, lots of flirting back and forth. Come Friday night she and I both tell each other we'd be going out. She said she's gonna stay with her friend and not meet up with me. I tell her where ill be anyway and what do you know that's the first place she goes. So we talk a little bit I lean in and kiss her and then we part ways for a little bit. I hang out with my friends she hangs out with hers, all is well. We'd meet up a couple more times, and on the last time she asks me if I noticed the guy she was talking to at the bar. I knew who she was referring to so i said yeah. Then she asked me, with this hesitant, sort of nervous look on her face, "are you jealous?" I laughed it off and said of course not. She would ask me again later and would ask similar questions, for example (before going out when we were texting) she asked if I was mad that she wouldn't be meeting up with me. Anyway, besides the fact that her behavior around me lately is confusing, can anyone recommend a response to diffuse what I now believe is just another shit test. I have a feeling that wasn't the last time I'd hear the "are you jealous" question from this girl.
