This is my first post ever on Reddit as I'm more on here to read other people efforts and stories, but finally the time has come for me to have my say as well!

Been living in my local village for about 4 years now and the coop along the highstreet has always had very attractive girls working there(7-9s imo) but me being the beta, socially awkward man that I am(I'm 18 for preference) has never taken it upon himself to ask out any of these girls, although I've thought about it many times.

But then, a couple weeks ago there was a new girl, an extremely attractive blonde, high 10, very cute smile, who when I smiled at her first time seeing, she smiled back, and I went on my business.

I've recently been trying hard to develop and work on my confidence, mental and physical health, masculine frame and everything that I deem what it means to be a real man(never had a father figure as mine died when I was 11, but that's another success story for the future ;)

Anyway, to the main point: Saw her yesterday working there for the 2nd time since she started working, didn't have the balls to approach her then, but luckily I forgot to buy the eggs so took a second trip back on the way home from my dog walk. She was the only girl working on the tills this time so it was now or never! (there was 4 other workers within a metre of us)

It went like: Me: "Hey what's your name" (she was talking to a mate so I waited) Her: "Hope" Me: "That's a really nice name (smiling ofc), I've seen you working her a couple of times and I thought you were really attractive, could I take you out some time?" Her: "Sorry I have a bf" Me: "Not a problem" Her: (Very big smile lol)

Got rejected, but I'm proud of myself and glad I approached cause that was my second(first twas awkward af I'll admit lol) cold approach ever, so to anyone just starting out on their quest to get a GF DONT GIVE UP!!! I'm with you all the way we're all in this together my friends, male or female :)

I hope you hear from me again as Im tired of wasting my days away not getting off my ass and making the most out of life.
