When face to face, I find that girls I already met open me a lot (walk up to me, say hi and ask me where I'm going etc) something that didn't used to happen before I built my value up a lot over the last year or so, with the help of /r/seddit and the such.

However when it comes to text game- be it facebook or texts, it seems like they never make a attempt to speak to me first. I know this is probably normal, but I find it completely exhausting to have to start every single conversation with some variation on "hi".

I don't just have this problem with just girls though, bar one or two of my close friends, it's very rare that somebody opens a conversation with me. Maybe two girls have done this in the last month.

It's just something that has been playing on my insecurities a little, and like I said it's exhausting having to open even to people I've known for years. Note that I don't bombard people with messages, and my actual conversation's aren't to lengthy or boring.

TL;DR Whilst fine face to face, I find people never open conversations with me either on FB or via text, including people I've known for years. Is this normal?

Ninja edit: I don't constantly message people, I give it a break (days or whatever) but it seems when I do this, they make no attempt to contact me.
