I’ve had bad results from both using it and NOT using it
A date is something intimate, just you two, hanging out, getting to know each other, a date can be scary
So whenever I’ve dropped the “wanna go on a date with me?” with someone relatively new in my life, I’ve gotten a “wow calm down, I just met you yesterday, and you wanna go on a date?” or get straight up ghosted
On the other hand, for NOT using the word date I’ve gotten the “so who else is coming?” (It can be a shit test or legitimate confusion, being on the same page about it being a date defeats these two)
So I don’t know what to make of it, I’m think for my next try/girl, I’ll say “wanna grab some coffee/dinner this day? Just you and me?”
Idk if it sounds stupid, but it makes the point come across and isn’t as scary as “let’s go on a date” for them, any idea of how to word it better?
Overall thoughts?
