forget about texting.
Call her.
Introduce yourself again and explain how you got her number. BE SURE TO SPEAK SLOWLY, CONFIDENTLY, and IN TEMPO, as to not creep her out and provide her with time to digest what you're telling her.
Next, invite her to do something later that day/tomorrow. If she's interested in you, she will agree, and if she's not interested in you, she will make up some excuse as to why she can't attend.
You might be tempted to suggest she call/text/write you when she is available, but I have a firm rule of not that that. You're selling yourself, so it's now or never! This has helped me eliminate future disappointment and appear more alpha in general.

I disagree on the calling thing. I used to be in the same school until results proved otherwise. I have no idea how long distance game works though, maybe it'll work well
