So, I'm American, and I'm in Russia. I speak Russian well enough to get by. Normally, a lot of what I do relies on word play, saying interesting things, just generally using language in my game. However, I'm having a hard time here. One, I don't understand what is going on in large groups where everyone is taling simultaneously. Two, my grasp on the grammar isn't great, so I sound like an idiot a lot. I'm wondering how seddit might advise me to try and work around this. I'm having no problem initiating conversations, as Americans are rare in the part of Russia I'm living in, but once I'm talking it's hard for me to follow through and keep things going. I guess generally my question is how do you go about talking to women in a language you don't speak very well?
