This weekend I'm doing a pub crawl, where I hope to approach a few girls. I've never done one but I expect it's a bit different from approaching in a bar or a club. Do you guys have pointers to advice that could be useful?

The issues I expect are that:

  • it's supposed to last all night, it's harder for me to convince a girl to leave because she paid the entry fee for the whole night.

  • I'm not sure how to approach a girl who is neither a stranger nor someone you know. With a stranger, explaining why you're approaching gets you started. With someone you know you have actual stuff to talk about. But what do you say to a girl who is in your group but who you don't know (after "hi")? I'm bad at smalltalk and questions like "is this your first pub crawl?" suck.

My plan is to use the first few pubs to talk to various girls, and then become more active with those I like when we're all a bit drunk. But I'm always stuck when I want to go from group to group with people I can't introduce myself because they kinda know me.
