Well, it is a good idea start to talk with someone in a bar. Start to talk with someone even if it's a man, just be friendly and talk with everyone in order to gain a momentum. After that you can go to dance and from there start to dance with girls, observe which girl is interested in you and ask her to go out to talk because it's pretty loud music in the bar. That would be my strategy.

its better to go alone anyway in my opinion... if you go with friends are you really going to put yourself out there... are you going to risk getting rejected etc...

you go alone and you have no reason to care about anything... no one knows you... no one cares what you do

I would actually advise getting comfortable standing alone. The best nightclub guys I know do go out with social circle, but will usually stand alone. They won't talk to anyone for 10-30 minutes and simply look around or stare into the void. It's a sign of comfort and mastery over the situation.

Next time you go to the bar, get your drink, and stand near a wall. Simply stand there. Don't scan, don't look for reactions, simply stand. People will notice you, but once they see that you're in your own world, they'll leave you alone. You might even find that someone approaches you. It's when I'm in this mode that I get approached by women.

your facial expression should be empty or stoic. maybe a light smirk on your face. Get comfortable with the loneliness.
