So this morning I had an early class- Biology lecture at 8:30 a.m. Having not been able to sleep last night, I woke up around 740 extremely groggy and miserable. As I was making it to my classroom ten minutes before class started, I decided I would go to the statistics lab room and print out the lecture notes for today's class. Anyways, when I got there, I noticed a HB 8 alone in there too doing the same thing. I hesitated for a little longer than a second deciding if I should sit next to her. I awkwardly sat somewhere else and printed my shit. A minute later, she gets up and is standing at the printer looking straight at me.

HB8 (She initiates with full eye contact): How are you?

Having never met before, and thinking she was an upperclassmen, I panicked

Me (nervously): sorry?

HB8: I said how are you?

Me: Oh aha, good and yourself?

HB8: Im good :)

And that was the end of the conversation. I was so dumb founded that this hot girl was just being friendly to me that i was at a loss for words, and I lost the opportunity to actually meet her. I was also nervous of being late for class though so I didn't try to initiate as much as I could have. The lesson? Always take opportunity and dont let unexpected situations throw off your game.

tl;dr Take opportunity by the balls despite pressurized situations, and do so with composure
