So basically theres a girl (HB8) whos in my lecture whos also in the same group project as me. The class only happens once a week and sometimes we meet before and after class to do some group work. We clicked after the first group meeting cause we were both wearing trendy streetwear outfits and we bonded over hype shoes. Shes rather quiet so it threw me off when she first approached me about my outfit, so I took it as an IOI.

Fast forward to this week which is out 4th time meeting. We had group work before class, the lecture, and group work after class so we talked/worked together for like 5 hours. After the meeting was over and the rest of the group was leaving I saw her walking alone and knew she was trying to figure out how to get to the student centre so I said "HB8 lost as always, just follow me" and she laughed and said "haha i have no idea where we are thanks".

A similar thing happened last week and when we got to the student center I told her im grabbing coffee from a new coffee place and asked her to come but she said no cause the line is apparently upwards of an hour and she was just gonna go study. My dumbass shouldve just said you're right and said id study too. This time I was like im going to the library and asked if she was which she was but when we passed the food court she randomly said bye and that she was gonna grab food. I walked away and said I wont lose the opportunity like last time so I walked back and went in line for food and when she saw me she laughed and said wtf happened. I just played it off and said it was raining so im just gonna grab food before I walk over hoping the rain dies. We then talk for a few mins while waiting food and she seemed interested so I thought it was fair to say I wasn't perceived as creepy. Her food came first and she said she was going somewhere else to grab a smoothie and said bye which threw me off cause I assumed she was feeling me.

TLDR: HB8 seems interested but when I suggest we hang out (I havnt explicitly said it but implied) she says she has to do something then immediately says bye.

Obviously you guys cant tell me what shes thinking but what my friend said was that I should be more assertive and told her outright lets go study together initially or when we were getting food I shouldve told her wait for me and we'll both get smoothies.

I really dont wanna wait a week to see her again cause I think the window is closing. I was thinking I should message her and ask if shes finished an assignment then tell her lets go to the library and finish it. I also plan on being more assertive and and tell her shes cool lets grab some food right after we finish the assignment. Do you think this would be a reliable move?
