Hey Everyone,

I started lurking on this sub a few years ago on my other account after reading The Mystery Method. The entire time I've read the mystery method and various links on this subreddit, the main underlying theme that I got out of it was trying to improve yourself and becoming a better and well rounded person.

I started to do that by becoming closer with my friends, weightlifting, talking to more people in general and traveling for 4 months. These experiences skyrocketed my confidence because I was doing things that I loved to do.

But I feel like I am doing seduction or picking up girls for the wrong reason. I feel like I am trying to "win" or "conquer" that area of my life that I haven't been able to. I've been to conquer my fears of seeing the world, trying new things and overall being a better person, but I feel like the women part is the last jigsaw piece to the puzzle. It's the one thing I can't find or get. Is that the wrong mentality when it comes to talking with people?

I also seem to get hung up still on things that I say to girls because I am always trying to game them. For example, I would go out with my friends (we go out every weekend to bars) and I would say something absolutely stupid to a girl and just beat myself over it for the next few days. My friends rag on me when I say something dumb (albeit, I am very drunk) and they think I am inept when talking with girls. My friends are pulling girls almost every weekend and every time I ask them about it, they just say their having a good time and it just works outs. When I say something, I know there will be more girls out there (there always will be), but sometimes I can't let the dumb things go. I also just turned 24.

Sorry for the long read, but I haven't told anyone about this.

Tl;dr: Is it wrong that I want to "win" or "conquer" one area of my life that I haven't been able? Or is that bad mentality when talking with people? Do you guys still say stupid things to girls? How do you guys get over it?
