More and more I'm thinking IG is worthless for game unless you're a stud with shirtless pics of your brawny muscles, and/or you have lots of pictures of you with hot babes pawing you.

Think about what happened. She followed you, didn't like what she saw and unfollowed. Even though you're a great guy and she had some initial attraction, IG is like a fucking beauty contest and even if they're a decent person IRL, people only use IG in shallow stalker mode.

EDIT: to share a LOL moment, this guy Alex Social on youtube was saying, "I tell all my students, always go for the IG close. I have 125,000 followers and I'll tell you what it's like having a cheat code!"
