sounds like you've barely started into this seddit journey, this should probably be in askseddit.

you could have said anything, it doesn't matter. be more aware of your surroundings and pick something out, selling pumpkins outside? just say "see the pumpkins out front? can you believe its october already?" she'll be like "yea i know right?" then you can be like "next thing you know christmas trees will be out front" then transition into if she's thought up what she'll be for halloween.

or simply say hi, what's your name and shortly after ask if she'd like to join you in shopping, talk about school, work, family whatever. really doesn't matter, just look her in the eye, converse and then get her number.

You could literally say anything. I once opened a girl by saying "pass the pepper" at a pizza shop. She was topless in my bed about an hour later. What you say doesn't matter, what matters is how confident you are when you say it, and where you take it from there, and escalating physically.
