You can drop them an inbox saying "hey, I thought an inbox would be much more personal than just dropping a comment on your wall, so happy birthday."

On my birthday, a girl posted something without space on my wall, I responded in the same manner, she did it again so I said "I need some space" with a picture of dawson crying. Then I went to "apologize" in inbox, which get us talking about our lives, our work career and how she's away for a while, then we talked from time to time and it's all good, with innuendos and jokes.

So I guess in PUA terms, inbox is a good opportunity to DHV without having the girl showing ASD because of the public visibility of whatever she would say on her wall. Start off with small talk then you can deep dive and get into comfort zone. Be careful tho, you might talk too much and go in a JLBF/needy place, but if you keep sparse, sporadic conversations you can set up a date quite quickly, #closing and all.
