What worked for me was actually listening to myself talk. Then I made adjustements with how pace and really trying to speak clearly as well as using pause and making them sound nature instead of saying uh all the time. I found also that becoming a better listener made me a better speaker. It took about a solid month for the changes to really take effect. It helps with my job as a manager as being well spoken gives you credibility.

Reading books is good, i went with horror storys for the age of 13yrs. This way its easy words (like normal conversation often is) And learning the rules of commas, and period. This way you can test pauses like you want. And if the sentence didnt feel good when you said it, keep reading, maybe slow down, go a little bit faster, e.t.c I had weak pronunciation of "R" in my language (swedish) So i practiced a lot with rolling with the R's a bit extra at times :-)

Now for practicing speaking louder, sit with the book infront of your speakears and turn up the volume (The Black Eyed Peas - Pump It) and scream the words out from the book :-P its really fun too.

I learned a lot through watching actors who talked the way I wanted to talk. In particular I gained an understanding from watching and practicing the delivery of lines between the James Bond and the villain in this scene.
