Yeah. I have been in that situation. If you get a no as an answer, it's cool. Just say you don't want that to ruin your friendship. It should be fine. Was completely fine when I did it. It wasn't even awkward.

Be direct and confident. An attractive, confident guy knows what he wants and goes for it. A weak, needy guy who is unsure of himself will try the friendship route and proceed directly to friendzone while the direct confident guy is making her toes curl. If she's not interested, just tell her to take it as a compliment. EZ.
