I dated this girl for a year and a half, and back then i wasn't good looking, i wasn't tall, muscular or self confident. She boosted my self esteem a ton, and i fell for her too hard to recover for about a solid year after i broke up with her. She ended up cheating on me twice and yeah i finally maned up and did it.

After that i figured the best thing is to focus on myself. I developed new hobbies, focused on working out, eating more, and getting my look the way i want it. Fast forward to about now (im 21) and ready to roll.

Now i don't want to boast, or anything but the only thing i really lack is massive muscles and height (5'6"). Im lean and fit, im very physically active and have a regular work out routine. I go to college and get good grades, i have tried to become a more rounded person and get along with everyone, i have become quite the extrovert but with women (girls) im still like a deer in the headlights. I don't have any insecurities, im proudly single and i love the freedom compared to my last relationship. I used to wear all black and was just a sad nerd with way too much knowledge in my head that i can't use but now im wearing bold colors and trying new things, literally just throwing myself in front of life.

But, i have no luck with women. I can make them laugh all day, i can talk about any topic they want, Ive read all advice i can and try to just do it, but even if they do decide to take interest, they seem to just disappear after a few days. They'll read a message and just never reply (ghosting) or just drop the phone call. I have several female friends who have told me i just need a bit of luck because everything else is fine.

Oh well...im not gonna get depressed about it, because i know it simply takes time but i am kind of jealous how my friends can just get any girl they want with such ease. Hell it seems like any dumb jock can just walk up and swoon a girl and me, a guy with a good job, good healthy lifestyle, and i hope, good intellect cant keep a girl interested for 5 minutes. Maybe im over doing it.
