I've been told to post here to talk about beating neediness. First of all, I'm not really looking to use any sort of seduction trick to hook up with women, but I'm running into a consistent problem with online (and indeed all types of) dating. Basically, I can get dates fairly regularly but I have trouble progressing things beyond the second or third date. Usually I get told 'there's no chemistry' and the usual lets just be friends line. I'm not unattractive, so whenever I post about this I usually get told that it's due to neediness. Now I have a couple of problems with this theory. Firstly, it seems too simple to be true and applicable to every single relationship I have (or attempt to have). Secondly, neediness as I understand it flows from a desire to seek the approval of others, and I'm a pretty self contained sort of guy. I don't need others. That being said, if it is neediness, how do I beat it? Do I just focus on what makes me happy? Thanks.
