Hello seddit. I've never been deeply into PUA, but I have been a long time subscriber to this subreddit's brand of self-improvement and "inner game." I am not the kind of man who needs to be getting laid every night or racking up notches to feel successful or secure, however-- in all honesty, I don't quite understand that mentality, but it works for many people on here, so I am happy for them and refrain from judging. I, on the other hand, follow inner game posts to ensure that I am living to my fullest with confidence, poise, self-respect, and especially to maintain happiness and attractiveness with a long term partner, which I know is the goal for many others on here. I have reached a mild conundrum that I hope the community here can enlighten me on.

I am an introvert and intellectual who is very much into "boring" stuff-- I love reading, classical music, ballet, etc. I don't have fun in clubs or noisy bars, strip joints are just boring , and I am just not the type who likes to go out and sarge after girls or try to get laid to make the night a success. Not because I can't, as much as I just don't enjoy it; I had relative success with seddit tactics early on, it's just that after a few months of hookups and bar flirting I got bored; . That kind of lifestyle just isn't near as enjoyable for me as reading a book at home or going to the opera. I'm in love with the science and art of inner game, but I have lost any interest in PUA tactics and the like.

However, I feel sometimes that this contradicts the advice dispensed on seddit. Confidence, leadership, self respect, etc aren't really a problem for me (mainly thanks to you awesome folks!), and I'm very proud of the man I am-- but it's usually the belief on here that one must be exciting and adventurous, that a real "alpha male" does dangerous things and takes risks-- he should ride a motorcycle, or go bungee jumping, or things like this that don't interest me. My idea of taking risks is doing development work in third world countries, which I do as part of my job, which I love.

My point is that I fear I don't know how to meet or attract the kind of women that would compliment my interests and lifestyle. I think PUA works terrifically for scoring bar princesses or club girls, or party girls/college girls/ etc if you are that age; but it leaves me coming up somewhat short as far as my "type." Besides, I don't think my ideal woman would be into bungee jumping or magic tricks or most PUA tactics anyway! :)

I don't want to engage in hobbies or activities I don't find fun just to meet women anymore-- that seems to be for people who place the "scoring" above living authentically, which seems very un-alpha to me. Unless that is what you truly enjoy doing as a person, in which case wonderful! So I guess I'm basically asking seddit to help me make my goal of living authentically and confidently concrete, while not alienating myself away from meeting women, especially who are like me. I don't need help on tactics or anything like that-- I've found my best and most sincere success with women has been from just living with pride and authenticity, rather than pursuing them with an arsenal of PUA weapons and tactics. It would be great to hear from members of this subreddit who are like me, and more into long-term goals and relationships, and perhaps are more on the quieter or intellectual side.

Marinate me in your wisdom, gentlemen.
