You need to read the room, and feel the girls out before you just go start asking certain questions. That way you don't find yourself running into bitches like these. Make sure they are receptive to your approach, and ask questions that can indirectly tell you if they are comfortable and welcoming to your invitation. Also pay attention to demeanor, attitude, and their tone.
Yes, it could ruin your reputation even if it is a simple question. Just note that there are legitimate creeps that do the same exact things they do, and they probably get aggressive afterwards. Which is why she may get defensive and act like this, and it's definitely more common than you may think.
TL:DR - Read the room, make sure the girls you are talking to seem comfortable and welcoming, and pay attention to how they respond.

does it happen to every girl you speak to? If it's just this one girl, just walk away.
You don't need to hear her insults or her reasoning if she's gona act like a lunatic.

It’s happened a couple times in the last year and it makes me fucking paranoid

If it has happened a couple times you are doing something to creep the girls out. You should either find someone who will be honest or look at yourself/your approach and figure out what you are doing to creep these girls out. They won’t tell you. Even if they did, I wouldn’t trust they really know. It’s more likely how you present yourself and how you are approaching them.

Grooming dressing well smelling nice appearing clean and demonstrating your healthy habits through your aesthetic can bump guys up from a 5 to an 8 no exaggeration. I personally am 6,2 and good looking but drink and believe being intoxicated even if your not explicitly saying or doing anything wrong can make people uncomfortable so the solution is, stop drinking heavily

Interesting. This type of reply from a girl is usually reserved for guys with very low social value. If you are drinking, I’m guessing you weren’t calibrated and came off as having an agenda. It’s also possible that she has issues, but I think it’s too easy for guys these days to blame the girl without any introspection.

It's probably his looks, it's probably best if OP stopped approaching girls to avoid these kinds of situations

Even if it was his appearance, that can be greatly improved upon. Plenty of examples out there of guys who are able to become competently attractive through fitness and closer attention to style.

I agree with the fitness part by gymaxxing, not so much with the style part since that would only bump a guy up about 0.5 points

When that happened to me I told them to either admit they were wrong or end all contact with me.
When they wonder back over near me, I told them, I really don't want you near me, now. Other people interjected and asked them to leave. I actually don't think they were people who really belonged here, anyway. They're just shit starters.
and she called me a creep and said because I hadn’t asked her guy friend before her I was a perv and that I had to leave.
Lol I've said this before already, guys can get called creeps for literally anything now. God forbid you're a short or ugly guy because then it would be considered a crime.
It's probably best if you avoid interactions with women or even looking at them to avoid these situations

I think you're just ugly or actually creepy
Or both
