I will be moving to Washington, DC in a couple months for a new job and I'm trying to determine where I should live. I'm mainly looking for hookups at this time, and not looking for anything serious unless the very right person comes along. I'm in my mid-twenties. Additionally, I would be leaning more towards meeting people on apps, but I still plan to go to bars on weekends. I'm thinking that potentially living in Dupont Circle/Logan Circle/Shaw would be best for my goals, but I would like Navy Yard due to its cheaper rent, nicer buildings, and closer proximity to my work. Despite this, Navy Yard seems more isolated from the rest of the city, potentially limiting matches and increasing the difficulty of pulling from bars.

Do you guys have any specific recommendations for where I should live? My budget allows me to rent a nice one bedroom apartment almost anywhere in the city.
