Best techniques at making people feel comfortable first time you are introduced?

So I am referring to male friends who are introduced to you by a fuckbuddy you are banging. I find them sceptical and/or midly defensive and hostile. As far as your first impression goes, what do you guys do that makes them treat you like a friend ( I find that makes it so much smoother).
