Please, do your self a favor, just start cold approaching. But you want to ask yourself why you are approaching them. If you find them attractive and want to take them out on a date...say so. It's not going to be easy, and you'll stumble and be nervous, but overtime you'll realize cold approaching isnt as bad as you think it is.

I was riding my bike in the park the other day and passed a woman on her bike going up hill. The woman made the effort to catch up to me just so that she can compliment me on my socks. Naturally I said thank you and wished her a pleasant rest of the day.

I've found that the best way to pick up a chick is to use both of your arms. It works a lot better than trying to pick up a chick with your legs!
