So I've been attempting the online dating thing since my friend (who lives in NYC) seems to be having success with Tinder, but no matter what online dating platform I use (OkCupid, Tinder, Bumble, PoF) I just don't get the same hits as he does. It might be that I'm in Salt Lake City and therefore have a smaller pool to play in, but, oddly enough, I seem to have better odds offline when it comes to matching with women. Meeting organically in public is much easier for me than it is for my friend who relies on Tinder and who doesn't get the same kind of attention that I do in person. Maybe I don't photograph well and he does, but either way, the conclusion I've come to is that relying on your daygame is so much better than waiting for matches online.

As soon as you make eye contact with someone, it's much more instantaneous to just walk up and test your game with a girl who has seen not just your face in a photo but who now has a scent and/or a vibe to work with. I've tried to convince my friend to just pay more attention to his environment but he struggles to be present: he lacks inner game. So the point of all this? Don't assume you're lacking if you aren't getting matches on dating apps. Be present and pay attention to your surroundings because you might just find more than you ever would have online.
