Some girls will be so caught off guard by a phone call that they'll get internally pissed about it. Texting is super easy for them, they stick any new guys they meet in their little messaging app and keep them neatly filed there until they decide when it's time to fuck one of them. If you call her, it can put you in the same category as a telemarketer who is calling her in the middle of dinner just to be a pest.

So what I do is, if I feel like the girl is not being sufficiently responsive by text, I'll tell her explicitly "I'm going to call you later" to check if that's okay with her. Unless she gives you a solid reason not to "no I'm having dinner with my mom" then she will get a kick out of it, knowing that it's coming and that you're going to be as witty as when you met her.

Lol, I HATE PHONE CALLS. So a hard no for me, I’m a 23 year old female, I feel like phone calls leave nothing to the imagination. Plus don’t you wanna see how quick she responds anyways? I’d send a sexy picture and say “just so you remember who I am” or something cute.
